Daily Dutch News publishes English-language coverage of the Netherlands for the international community living here. This page explains, plainly, how our newsroom operates.
How our articles are produced
Our news summaries are compiled by an automated editorial system that reads reporting from established, named Dutch news organisations (such as NOS, NU.nl, RTL Nieuws, de Volkskrant and NRC), translates the key facts into English, and rewrites them for an international audience. Every article names or links to the original source it is based on. We do not claim to break these stories ourselves.
Editorial oversight and accountability
Automated output is published under the responsibility of the Daily Dutch News editorial desk. We do not publish articles under the names of fictional journalists. Where an article carries a byline, it is the editorial desk.
Accuracy and corrections
We aim for factual accuracy and check claims against the original source. If we get something wrong, we correct it. See our corrections policy and ethics policy. To report an error, use our contact page.
Use of AI
We use automation and AI tools to help gather, translate and draft content at speed. This is disclosed openly. AI does not replace editorial responsibility: sourcing, accuracy and the decision to publish rest with Daily Dutch News.
