Police investigate online abuse groups targeting women

Dutch police are investigating closed online groups where abuse images of women were allegedly shared.

Several suspects have been arrested as part of the investigation. 1 man remains in custody, and 4 other suspects have also been identified.

Police say the suspicions differ between the men involved. Some are suspected of taking part in closed groups where illegally obtained images were shared. Some are also suspected of rape or attempted rape.

The investigation is still ongoing. Police say more arrests are possible.
