GLOW turns the centre of Eindhoven into a free open-air light art exhibition for eight evenings, from Saturday 7 to Saturday 14 November 2026. Around 35 artworks line a walking route of roughly five kilometres through the city, lit from 18:30 to 23:00 each evening. Admission is free and no ticket is needed.

Why it matters

GLOW treats light as its artistic medium: large-scale projections and installations, indoor and outdoor, temporary and permanent, made to be seen after dark. The 2026 theme is Connect, which the organisation describes as being about encounter and interaction between people, technology and their surroundings.

Programme highlights

The full artwork list for 2026 had not been published at the time of writing, but two elements are already confirmed by the organisation. The festival homepage announces a drone show at the Philips Stadion for GLOW 2026. And the light art is not limited to Eindhoven: the festival’s region pages list editions in Oirschot, Best, Veldhoven, Helmond and Lieshout, where installations are lit from 18:30 to 22:00.

Practical information

The route is free to walk. Paper route maps are sold for 2 euros, and an interactive digital map is available. The organisation advises coming by public transport or bicycle and states that Eindhoven is not easily accessible by car during the festival days. It also states that the GLOW route is fully wheelchair accessible.
