WinterWelVaart returns to the A-kwartier in Groningen from Friday 11 to Sunday 13 December 2026. The 19th edition brings historic ships to the neighbourhood, and the organiser says skippers like to talk about their vessels and invite visitors on board.
On board and on shore
According to the official site, stalls sell snacks, glühwein and beer. Several ships host performances, as do Museumcafé Het Pomphuis, the A-Theater and the Akerk. The event has been held in the A-kwartier since 2007.
